Hold (Alt + D).
Selecting the
Hold
button in the
Commands
group box
temporarily suspends a telephone call and returns you to the Message
Window. While a call is on hold, your DynaWrite will speak through its
main speaker while playing music for the caller on hold. Hold will also be
indicated by the appearance of a small
Hold
icon in the lower right corner of
the DynaWrite display screen. To take the call off hold, access the
Phone
menu and select the
Hold
button again.
Clear (Alt + R).
Selecting the
Clear
button will delete the last character to be
entered into the text box above the telephone number pad. Each time you
select the
Clear
button, the action will delete another number.
End Call (Alt + N).
End Call
is the last button available in the
Commands
group box. Selecting this button will disconnect a phone call.
Number pad.
The central feature of the
Phone
menu is a telephone number
pad. This group of buttons mirrors a standard telephone dial pad. Its
options include

. Unlike other DynaWrite menu features, there is no
need to hold down the
Alt
key when dialing a phone number in this menu.
When you make selections, they are entered into the text box immediately
above the number pad. Type in the telephone number exactly as you would
dial a phone.
Volume from Phone (Alt + U).
The
Volume from Phone
slider allows you
to control the volume of incoming conversation during a phone call. When
this slider has been selected, you can use your up and down arrow keys to
adjust it. Moving the slider up will make the conversation louder, while
moving it down will lower the volume.
Volume to Phone (Alt + V).
The
Volume to Phone
slider allows you to
control the volume at which your DynaWrite speaks your messages during a
phone call. When this slider has been selected, you can use your up and
down arrow keys to adjust it. Moving the slider up will make your output
louder, while moving it down will lower the volume.
Private speaker only (Alt + P).
This check box can be found in the
Preferences
group box. When the
Private speaker only
check box has been
selected, responses to your conversation will be played only through a
private speaker, not through the main speaker of your device. When this
