Appendix B:
Battery Care
When your DynaWrite battery begins to lose power, a small battery icon will
appear below the Message Window. This icon indicates that you should
plug in your device to conserve the remaining power. You should recharge
your device’s battery as soon as possible. This icon will remain in place until
the battery is recharged or replaced.
Immediately before the battery runs completely out of power, a system
message will appear, informing you that your device is automatically shutting
down. The DynaWrite will power down completely after this message is
seen. Any unsaved settings or messages will be lost. At this time you must
replace or recharge the battery to operate the device.
Charging the Battery
Whenever the DC power adapter/charger is plugged in and connected to the
DynaWrite, the battery is being recharged. It will take approximately three
hours to fully charge the battery. You cannot overcharge the battery so don’t
be concerned about leaving the unit plugged in overnight. The amber LED
will light up while the device is charging. The light will go out when the
battery is fully recharged.
Note:
Before storing a DynaWrite device for more than two weeks,

2. After a moment, the LED will show a solid amber signal. The LED will
