Dots and Horizontal Streaks Periodically Appear in the Paper Feed Direction
Cause Remedy Reference
If the period is approximately
63 mm, the glossy cylinder of the
image drum is damaged or dirty.
Gently wipe it with a soft tissue.
Replace the image drum unit if it is damaged.
Replacing the Image Drum Unit
If the period is approximately
26 mm, foreign material is attached
to the electrostatic roller in the
image drum.
Open and close the top cover or feeder cover, and
perform printing again.
Names of Components
The image drum unit has been
exposed to light.
Return the image drum unit to the inside of the ma-
chine and do not use the machine for several hours.
If this does not solve the problem, replace the image
drum unit.

The paper is has an electrostatic
charge.
Use paper that is stored in an environment with
suitable temperature and humidity.

Heavy paper is being used. Use lighter paper.

replace the toner cartridge.
