Using the MAC Address Access Control Function
MAC addresses can be used to restrict access to the machine. You can allow or refuse access from specified MAC ad-
dresses.
Make sure to specify the correct MAC address. If an incorrect MAC address is specified, the machine will become
unable to be accessed from the network.
Open the Web page of this machine.
For information on starting the Web page, refer to “Starting the Web Page”.
Log in as the administrator.
Select [Admin Setup].
Select [Network] > [Security] > [MAC Address Filtering].
Follow the on-screen instructions to configure the detailed settings.
If nothing is registered in [Administrator’s MAC Address to Register], the machine may become unable to be
accessed, depending on the specified range of MAC addresses.
If you are using a proxy server, the MAC address of the host used may not match [Your Current Local Host/
Proxy MAC Address].
Click [Submit].
The new setting is enabled after the network function of the machine is restarted.
Access cannot be individually allowed or refused for each address.
E-Mail Alert
A mail server needs to be configured in advance in order to use this function.
For details, refer to “E-mail Configuration (Web Page)”.
Sending Error Notifications via E-mail
Open the Web page of this machine.
For information on starting the Web page, refer to “Starting the Web Page”.
Log in as the administrator.
