Recover the System administrator password

Introduction

When you have forgotten your System administrator password you can recover it. You can only
recover your System administrator password via the settings editor.

Before you begin

You have to configure an email server first, so an email with a special link for password recovery
can be sent to you. For more information, see 

Configure a mail server for password recovery and

notifications on page 277

.

Procedure

1.

Open the settings editor.

2.

Click on [Visitor] in the top right corner.

3.

Click on [Log in] and select the [user name].

4.

Click on [Recover password].

5.

Click on [Ok] to let the system send an email to you with the recovery link.

6.

Open your email and click on the link.
A new recovery window opens.

7.

Fill in the new password, confirm the new password and click on [Ok].
The new password is configured and can be used to log in.
