3.1 Event Master devices overview
General
Event Master devices are the most advanced video processing and presentation control systems on the
market today. These systems provide source selection, advanced windowing features, seamless switching,
video effects and integrated control for professional video presentations. Thanks to their modular and scalable
architecture, Event Master devices can support a wide variety of show configurations.
The Event Master series products are the following:
• E2 Lite, screen management system (Event Master processor).
• EC-40, compact Event Master controller.
About E2 Lite

E2 Lite is a new member of the Event Master family of products, which excels in low processing latency, ease
of use and durability. Designed for on-site activities, the processor is designed to handle the tough
environmental challenges of an event.
While the functionality is limited compared to the Event Master series, E2 Lite offers all the features and
performance needed for most mid-sized performances, without compromising the image quality of the Barco
brand, while being more competitively priced. E2 Lite supports 32 single-layer layers, or 16 mixed-layer
management, and the image scaling performance is sufficient for most performances.
