HDMI Enhancement
This setting allows connection and use of the

on the AVR rear panel
with an HDMI capable HD Video Display. HDMI transfers uncompressed digital video and audio
signals to like capable devices for best quality sound and image. Selecting
YES
will disable the
Monitor Component Video Output [circle 15]
. (Conversely, selecting
NO
disables the
HDMI
OUT [circle 18]
). The Monitor Component Video Output and HDMI Output cannot be used
simultaneously. To activate the HDMI Output, with the cursor next to
HDMI ENHANCEMENT

HDMI Audio
This setting allows or disables the output of uncompressed digital audio signals from the
HDMI

will allow HDMI audio output so the
Main Room Video Display can output audio through its speakers. Selecting
NO
will disable the
HDMI output from the AVR so the only speaker level output in the Main Room will be through the
speakers connected to the AVR (in most cases, better quality speakers and surround effects). To

ADVANCED SETTINGS
The AVR21EN is equipped with a number of advanced features that add extra flexibility to the
unit’s operation. While it is not necessary to use these features to operate the unit, they provide
additional options that you may wish to use.
Front-Panel Timeout
In normal operation, the AVR21EN front-panel displays and indicators remain on at full brightness.
As an option, you may dim them or turn them off. As an additional option, you may also set the
AVR so that the displays appear whenever a button is pressed on the front panel or remote, but
then fade out after a set period of time.
To set front-panel Timeout, press the
