Once a fourth satellite is acquired, altitude will be calculated and a
‘
3
D
’
character will be
shown at the top right of all the screens. With a good view of the sky, position should be
calculated within ninety seconds of switch-on. To see your geographic position and the
number of satellites in use, use the left or right arrow keys to scroll to the Position screen.
If you switch the meter on indoors, then carry it outside after several minutes, there may be
a considerable delay in acquiring satellites. In this case, switch the meter off, then back on
again to reset the acquisition process.
4.9. Meter Setup
To alter the way the LeveLine
®
Meter displays readings, press the
MENU
key to get to the
Main Menu, then choose
Probe & Meter Setup
followed by
Setup Meter.
The Settings
Menu for the Meter will be displayed.

4.9.1. Setting Units of Measurement
From this screen choose
Measurement
Units
. The Units Menu will be displayed.
Remember, you can use just the arrow keys to navigate through the branches of the
menus. You don’t need to press
OK
or
ESC
at each level.

On the Measurement Units screen, you have a choice of which units you want to adjust.
Choose the first line if you want to adjust temperature units. Choose line 2 if you want to
adjust barometric pressure units. Finally, line 3 will allow you to adjust the units for level.
Moving the cursor right onto the first line will allow you to choose between displaying
temperature in degrees Centigrade or Fahrenheit. Use the up/down arrow keys to make
your selection.
Moving the cursor right onto the second line will allow you to choose between displaying
barometric pressure in millibars (mb) or millimetres of mercury (mmHg). Use the up/down
arrow keys to make your selection.
Moving the cursor right onto the third line will allow you to choose between displaying the
level in Metres or Feet. Use the up/down arrow keys to make your selection.
4.9.2. Setting the Meter Time & Date
Setting the Meter's time and date correctly is extremely important as the clock in the Meter
is used to set the clock in the LeveLine
®
Logger.
