Input Monitoring
Functions
Note:
These functions require certain inputs. Before programming these
functions, check the packet of drawings that came with your control for
I/O availability.

79
WAIT nnn CY FOR SYSTEM COOLING
These functions tell the control to check the status of an input. They
wait either indefinitely for an input to be active, or wait for only a
specified number of cycles for the input to be active.
If the input does not become active within the specified delay, the
processor generates the appropriate fault condition, as listed below.
(The wait functions with no programmable delay will abort the
schedule and generate the fault if the initiate is removed while the
weld processor is waiting.)
•
Functions #68 and #69: PRESSURE SWITCH fault. Function
#68 waits in the sequence for up to the specified number of
cycles,
nnn
. Function #69 waits indefinitely.
Function #68 continues the sequence in No Weld mode to
inhibit weld current from flowing if the Pressure Switch setup
parameter is programmed as a FAULT. If programming this
parameter as an ALERT, it continues with the sequence as
normal.
•
Functions #70 and #71: WELD PROCEED fault. Function #70
pauses and waits for up to the specified number of cycles
nnn
for the WELD PROCEED input to become active. Function
#71 operates the same way, but will wait indefinitely.
Function #70 continues the sequence in No Weld mode to
inhibit weld current from flowing if the Weld Proceed setup
parameter is programmed as a FAULT. If this parameter is
programmed as an ALERT, it continues with the sequence as
normal.
•
Functions #72 and 73: INSUFFICIENT LINE VOLTAGE fault.
Function #72 will wait in the sequence for up to the specified
number of cycles,
nnn
for the WELD PROCEED input to
become active. Function #73 waits indefinitely.
Function #72 continues the sequence in No Weld mode to
inhibit weld current from flowing if the Insufficient Line
Voltage setup parameter is programmed as a FAULT. If
programming this parameter as either an ALERT or NONE, it
continues with the sequence as normal.
