Nortel Networks Symposium Web Center Portal

Installing the Symposium Web Center Portal software

Standard 2.0

The

Microsoft COMCTL32.DLL Update window appears.

Click OK.

Result:

The Install complete window appears.

Click OK.

From the Start menu, restart the computer.

Result:

You have completed the Sybase Client installation. Follow the

procedure below to apply the Sybase EBFs.

To apply the Sybase Adaptive Server EBFs

For more information about the EBFs, refer to the Readme.txt file provided in
the EBF folder on the Symposium Web Center Portal Sybase Distribution

CD-ROM.

Log on to Windows using the Local Administrator user ID.

Ensure that none of the Sybase services are running. (These services only
appear if you have already installed Sybase Adaptive Server.)

From the Start menu, choose Programs

➝

Administrative Tools

➝

Services.

Select a Sybase service (for example, Sybase SQL
Server_SWCP_SQLSRV).

If the service is running, click Stop.

Repeat steps

for all the Sybase services (Sybase BCK Server,

Sybase MonServer, and Sybase XP Server).
