Installing and configuring agent PCs

On the taskbar, click Start

➝

Programs

➝

Nortel Networks

➝

Symposium Web Center Portal

➝

Portal Desktop

➝

TAPI Agent Desktop.

Result:

The Symposium Web Center Portal Desktop window appears.

Note:

If the logon window does not appear, right-click the Symposium Web

Center Portal icon, and then click Login.

In the Agent Id box, type your Symposium Call Center Server agent ID.

In the Password box, type your Symposium Web Center Portal password.

Note:

Based on how your system is configured, the first time you log on,

you are required to enter either a default password (the same as your agent
ID) or no password. The system administrator defines which initial
password you should use. After the agent logs on, he or she can change
the password. For more information, refer to your

Symposium Web Center Portal User Guide for Agents

Click Login.

Result:

The system verifies your ID and password, logs you on to

Symposium Web Center Portal, and logs you on to Symposium Call Center
Server through your phoneset.

Note:

If you are already logged on through your phoneset, the system

prompts you to log off first, and then reenter your ID and password.

What’s next?

Ensure that the Agent Roaming feature is configured properly.
