Customizing the Customer Interface

Real-time scenario (Web On Hold)

For Web On Hold to operate correctly, the web user must pass the following
URL parameters to the servlet when he or she submits a request for help using
the WebCollab.JoinConnection for Web On Hold post method.

Non real-time scenario

The web page where the web user joins the web session must request the web
user to enter a session ID exactly as the agent provided for the callback scenario
to operate correctly.

The session ID consists of the transaction ID plus a four-digit password.

This page extracts the transaction ID and password from the session ID and
passes the following URL parameters to the servlet, using the
WebCollab.Joinconnection post method.

Field name (case-sensitive)

Description

Username

The web user’s name.

user_id (optional)

The web user’s Customer ID.

mainURL (optional)

The URL page where the web user
requests assistance.

skillset

The Symposium Web Center Portal
skillset name.
