Component Configuration

TAPI Ensure you configured your switch and agent PCs for
use with TAPI. For more information, refer to the
Network Managers Guide for Symposium TAPI Service
Provider for Succession, release 3.0

Disable the Remote Access Auto Connection Manager
and Remote Access Connection Manager services on all
of the TAPI computers (clients and servers).
Dynamic Transaction
Handler (DTH) The DTH scans the database for any new unprocessed
web-based or e-mail transactions. You must configure
the DTH to enable transactions to be pushed to agents.
For more information, refer to “Configuring the DTH
for TAPI” on page 195.
Transaction Monitor The Transaction Monitor scans the Symposium Web
Center Portal database for transactions in an invalid
state. It updates these transactions so they are available
for processing by an agent. You must configure the
Transaction Monitor to suit the needs of your
multimedia center. For more information, refer to
“Configuring the DTH and the Transaction Monitor
parameters” on page 203.
Host Data Exchange
(HDX) You must configure the HDX so that Symposium Web
Center Portal routes calls to the appropriate agents. For
more information, refer to “Configuring the Host Data
Exchange service” on page 216.
