Installation and Administration Guide

Troubleshooting

Follow the next procedure to set the shortcut properties.

To set the shortcut properties

Click OK to exit the Sybase Setup error window.

From the Windows Start menu, choose Programs

➝

Sybase.

Right-click Server Config, and then click Properties.

Result:

The Server Config Properties window appears.

Click the Shortcut tab.

Result:

The following window appears:

In the Start in box, type the path to the SYCONFIG.exe file (for example,
C:\sybase\ASE-12_5\bin).

Click Apply to save your settings.

Click OK to exit the Server Config Properties window.

Updating the Database.ini file

If the database user name or password is changed, or the database name is
changed, you must manually update the Database.ini file.
