Nortel Networks Symposium Web Center Portal

Symposium Web Center Portal Administrative tools

Standard 2.0

Overview

Introduction

Once an agent or skillset is created within Symposium Call Center Server or 
Symposium Express Call Center, it is automatically available for use by 
Symposium Web Center Portal. You can delete and modify skillsets and agent 
IDs in Symposium Call Center Server or Symposium Express Call Center. 

Operations and Administration Maintenance

The data for agents and skillsets in Symposium Web Center Portal is imported 
from Symposium Call Center Server or Symposium Express Call Center along 
with other configuration items (for example, application names, agent-to-skillset 
mapping and agent-to-supervisor mapping). The Symposium Web Center Portal 
Operations and Administration Maintenance (OAM) client component allows 
this import functionality to take place.

The OAM client reads the data from the Symposium Call Center Server database 
and writes it into the Symposium Web Center Portal database. The Symposium 
Web Center Portal OAM client informs Symposium Call Center Server that it is 
interested in any configuration changes involving the above data. Symposium 
Call Center Server notifies the OAM client of configuration changes, and the 
OAM client updates the data accordingly.
