Outline

Apply the settings of configuration file to the EM card.

Syntax

apply

Parameter

None

Details

Apply the settings of configuration file (rw_poem.conf) to the EM card. When two EM
cards are installed, the settings for active EM card are applied to both cards. This
command can be executed only in the active EM card.

Notes

Reboots the EM firmware when the configuration file is applied. When two EM cards are
installed, both EM firmwares are rebooted simultaneously.

The bridge and SNMP functions are stopped during rebooting. Accordingly, the CPU
blade and switch module are temporarily disconnected from LAN. In addition, monitoring
the system by NEC ESMPRO or others is temporarily disabled. If a timeout error occurs,
provide these connections again after the active EM has rebooted.

When two EM cards are installed, the standby EM must also be operating normally. If the
standby EM is being activated or failed, "apply" command cannot be executed.

Wait until the standby EM becomes ready, then execute this command.

If the standby EM is failed, remove it. Then, execute this command.
