Preparing the Reagent
The automated cleaning cycle on the AquaMax Microplate Washer liquid
handling system uses approximately 420 mL of Complete Sterilant.
Molecular Devices recommend that you prepare 500 mL of Complete
Sterilant to make sure that you have enough.
Preparing the Complete Sterilant
To prepare 500 mL of Complete Sterilant:
1.
Combine 125 mL of Sterilant Solution A Concentrate (4X) and
375 mL of deionized water to prepare 1X Solution A.
2.
Mix thoroughly.
3.
Within 1 hour of use, add 1 mL of Sterilant Solution B to the
500 mL of 1X Solution A.
4.
Mix thoroughly.
Using Reagent
For stubborn cleaning situations, Molecular Devices recommends using
the following procedure. You can modify the existing One-touch Cleaning
program or create a new program.
1.
Prime with Complete Sterilant (from the red inlet).
2.
Soak for 5 minutes, or up to 2 hours for endotoxin removal.
3.
Purge.
4.
Prime with deionized water (from the green inlet).
5.
Rinse with deionized water.
6.
Repeat rinse twice, for a total of three rinses.
7.
Purge.
Note:
You must use the Complete Sterilant within one hour of
preparation. Complete Sterilant cannot be stored for later use. However,
1X Solution A can be prepared up to 30 days in advance.
