To remove the wash head

1.

To prepare the wash head for removal, run the one-touch 

Rinse

 

program using sterile water as the rinse fluid. (See 

Program Tab 

on page 38

.). 

2.

On the 

Options

 tab, touch 

Purge

 to remove water from the head.

3.

Disengage the lever mechanism and remove the wash head.

4.

Always store wash heads with the clear plastic guards installed, 
with the probes facing down, and on a flat surface or inside a 
protective container.

Note: 

Repeat several times if a particularly harsh reagent was 

used previously. 

Note: 

For long-term storage, use the clamshell container from 

the original shipment. 

Tip: 

If the carriage does not eject automatically after an error condition 

or power outage, retrieve the carriage manually by following 
instructions in
