Expert Panel : Expert Panel Overview

31/32 Auto Write

Automation

Holding down the Automation 

read

 and 

write 

buttons together and then injecting any fader will change the 

state of the selected strip to automation

Auto Write buttons indicators

The Automation Read and Write button indicators are illuminated when the Read and Write buttons are 
pressed.

Tips and tricks.

•

You can have two automation status options, set in the 

Active Screen System > Configure

 menu. 

One is  single automation status per channel. I.e. Wherever you touch, the fader or inject will 
change the automation status for the entire channel. The second option is per section. If you 
change the automation status and e.g. touch the fader or the EQ button, the automation status only 
changes for those elements touched. If you wish to change the status for the entire channel then 
use 

inject

. 

Note: 

The automation LED adjacent to the fader indicates the automation status for the 

fader 

ONLY

 in the second mode.
