Normal Operation
When in Data Entry Mode the display is static and numbers can be entered using the Keypad. The number
entered can then be used for further locate functions as described below. From Data Entry Mode - the dis-
play returns to Active Mode after performing a locate command (such as
Store
(see page ?),
Locate
(see
page 17),
Play
, or
Stop
) or hitting
Clear
twice in quick succession.
When in Data Entry Mode, every second decimal point in the display is lit to distinguish this from Active
mode.

19 Mark button
Overview
The Mark button allows the capture of the current TimeCode position. This can be achieved whilst Pyramix
is in any transport mode.
Normal Operation
When pressed, the TimeCode display changes from Active to Data Entry mode (if not already active) and
will display the TimeCode value where the play-head cursor was positioned when the button was pressed.
The displayed number can now be stored into Keypad buttons 0-9 using the
Store
button (see below). You
can locate to this position by hitting the
Loc
button without needing to store the number.
The TimeCode display will remain in Data Entry Mode until the Transport state changes (e.g:
Play
is
pressed).
Pressing the
Clear
button twice also returns the display to Active Mode.
20 Store button
Overview
The
Store
button enables the currently displayed TimeCode location to be stored into Locator buttons
(numeric keypad)
0-9
or the
Smart Locate
buttons
1-4
on the
Lower Active Panel
.
Normal Operation
With the desired TimeCode displayed in Data Entry Mode press
Store
. The
Store
indicator now flashes,
and all locator buttons (of Keypad buttons
0-9
and Ramses
Locate
buttons
1-4
) that already contain previ-
ously stored times are lit.
Now press a Keypad button
0-9
or a
Smart Locate
button
1-4
to store the displayed value into that button.
The TimeCode display now returns to Active Mode.
Pressing
Store
whilst in Play with the TimeCode display in Active Mode is equivalent to pressing both
Mark
and
Store
.
To exit Store mode without storing a number either hit
Store
again or touch either of the
Solo Clear
touch
points (see page ?).
21 Cycle button
The
Cycle
button toggles Cycle mode on/off in Pyramix. It cycles between the red (Mark In) and the green
(Mark Out) on the Pyramix timeline.
