down-mix
Selects the
Down Mix
currently set up in the Pyramix Monitor (toggle)
Note:
Only one
Speaker Set
can be selected at a time. The
down-mix
button toggles forc-
ing the down mix currently selected in the Pyramix Monitor onto the current
Speaker Set
.
Tips and tricks
The three speaker sets available on the Ramses surface take the first three Speaker Sets (top down) that
appear in the Pyramix Monitor. Copy/Paste is available in the Pyramix Monitoring section to help reorder
the Speaker Sets.
9 and 10 Dim Encoder / Button (press) and Indicator
This control is both a Button and an Encoder. Pressing down on the
dim
knob engages the
Dim Mode
.
When Dim Mode is engaged the volume of the currently selected Speaker Set is reduced to the Dim Level
and the
Dim Indicator
is lit. The Dim Level is determined by the Pyramix Monitoring, please refer to "how
to" section (page ?).
Pressing the
Dim knob
toggles Dim Mode on/off. When
Dim
is engaged, the speaker volume can be
adjusted with the
Dim Knob
. Pressing the
Dim Knob
again will restores the output volume to the original
level determined by the main
Monitor Volume
encoder.
11 Main Monitor Volume Encoder
The Volume Knob adjusts the volume of the Monitor Bus(es) that is/are currently feeding the control room
speakers. This control is always active unless
Dim Mode
or
Ref Mode
is engaged.

The
ref
erence button sets the level of the monitor outputs feeding the Control Room speakers to a pre-
determined level, bypassing the Volume knob. The
ref
level is set and stored in the Pyramix Monitor sec-
tion, please refer to "how to" section (page ?). There is one
ref
level for all three speaker set.
Normal Operation
When the
ref
button is pressed the Main Monitor Volume Encoder setting is bypassed and the level of the
selected monitor Bus or buses is set to the Reference Level for the currently selected Speaker Set. Press-
ing the
ref
button again exits this mode and re-activates the Volume Control.
Reference Button Indicator
The Reference Button Indicator is lit whenever the
ref
button is held down, or the Ref Mode is active.
