22 Recall button
Overview
The
Recall
button retrieves a TimeCode location stored either in a Keypad button or a Ramses Locator
button and enters this number into the TimeCode display. This number can now be manipulated in any way
using the locator functions. You can locarte to it using the
Locate
button or store it in another button etc...
Normal Operation
To recall a stored TimeCode value, press the
Recall
button. The
Recall
button indicator now flashes and
indicators in buttons with stored locations (including the
Fast Locate
buttons
1-4
on the
Lower Active
Panel
- see page are lit. Now pressing any
0-9
button or
Lower Active Panel 1-4
button will switch the
TimeCode display to Data Entry Mode (if not already active) and load the number stored in that button into
the TimeCode display.
If a button is pressed that has no stored TimeCode value nothing happens. Once a number has been
recalled the
Recall
button indicator is extinguished and the keypad
0-9
button or
Lower Active Panel 1-4
button pressed is lit to indicate which
Locate
is currently displayed.
Note:
Recall does not affect the transport controls in any way. The Timecode display
reverts to Active Mode when the Transport changes state (eg: hit
Play
or
Stop
. At this
point all Keypad button indicators and Smart Locate indicators are extinguished except the
last one used to Locate.
23 Locate button / Scene loc
Overview
In Data Entry Mode, pressing the Locate/Scene
loc
button moves the Playhead Cursor to whatever num-
ber is currently displayed by the TimeCode display. This number could have been entered manually, been
captured using the
Mark
button, or have been recalled using the
Recall
function.
Normal Operation
If pressed while in
Play
the Transport state will be maintained throughout this operation, so if in Play before
pressing
loc
, Pyramix will move the
Playhead Cursor
to the new location and then continue to Play.If the
Loc button is pressed whilst in
FF
or
RW
or stop Pyramix locates to the new TimeCode position and then
remains in
Stop
.
Pressing the
loc
button in Play whilst the TimeCode display is in Active Mode does nothing - this button is
only relevant if in Data Entry Mode. The Timecode display returns to Active Mode after hitting the
loc
but-
ton.

The
loc
button indicator is lit when the button is pressed.
Note:
Transport locators will be saved and re-opened as in Ramses template.
24 Numeric Keypad (not Pyramix)
Overview
The Keypad buttons are used to enter TimeCode locations into the
TimeCode Display
when in Data Entry
mode. They are also used as locations to store TimeCode values in
Store
and
Recall
modes.
