button will light and the parameter you just updated will remain in touch mode until you press the touch but-
ton. At this point the Touch button is no longer illuminated and the parameter you moved no longer sends
'touched' messages. You can move as many parameters as you like and the touch button will continue to
send touch messages for all those parameters until it is pressed at which time touch is released for those
controls.
Arming non touch-sensitive controls
Should you want to put a non touch parameter into 'touch' without moving the parameter, press and hold
the
touch button and then move a non-touch control on the surface. This will end a touch message to the
engine - but while, the button is held down, the controls themselves are prevented from changing their val-
ues. This is similar to the way in which parameters are selected for copying via the
m 1-2 buttons (see
page).
Note: It is possible to touch parameters by holding down the touch button and then wig-
gling the control even if some controls are already in touch mode and the button is lit.
When releasing the button after such an action, the button remains lit and parameters
already in
touch remain so. In this case, to release touch from all parameters, press the
Touch button.
The Faders, aux knobs and joystick are true touch-sensitive controls and send touch messages when they
are indeed touched.
10 Store button
Overview
An Ergonomic Spread is the layout of faders currently selected to the surface of the console. The Ergo-
nomic Spread Store button allows the storage of the current Ergonomic Spread into one of the Ergo-
nomic Spread buttons 1-8 .
Note: Storing and Recalling an Ergonomic Spread is an entirely non-destructive process.
The only thing that updating, recalling or modifying an Ergonomic Spread affects is which
faders are currently selected to the slots in your console.
Normal Operation
Pressing the Store button lights the Store button indicator and enters Store Mode - until one of the four
Ergonomic Spread buttons on the Expert Panel is pressed, or using the mod button to access Ergo-
nomic Spread 5-8 - at which point the current Ergonomic Spread is stored into button and Store Mode is
exited.
To escape from Store mode without storing the spread - touch either Solo Clear touch point. This will
extinguishe the Store button indicator and exits the mode.
A Store operation will store the state of slots, including HELD Channels. HELD channels are, however not
updated by the corresponding RECALL command - see below.

The Ergonomic Spread Store button indicator is lit whenever the system is in Ergonomic Spread Store
mode .
