Expert Panel : Expert Panel Overview
Temporary Adjustment mode
Faders
In order to perform Fader (or other controls that have been grouped) moves without invoking group
laws, simply press and hold the - button down (indicator illuminates under your finger), wiggle a
Fader, release Fader, then release the - button. When the - button is released, the Fader returns to
position previously held in relation to the group and normal grouping laws are re-asserted. This
allows quick adjustments of Faders independent of the group relationship.
Mutes
Mutes
behave similarly in this mode with the exception of their behaviour after the
-
button is
released. Pressing and holding down the
-
button and hitting a
mute
will toggle that channel's
mute
state independently of the
mute group
. Releasing the
-
button does not revoke the mutes modified
whilst in the temporary '
escape from group
' mode but leaves them in the state they were changed
to.
Normal Group behaviour is asserted on the next Group change using the principle of positive assertion: If
the first
mute
pressed after leaving
temp adjustment mode
changes from muted to un-muted, all other
Group members (regardless of their state) become un-muted. If the Mute pressed changes from un-muted
to muted, all other members of the Group become muted.
Expert Temporary Adjustment Mode
Whether the adjusted faders snap back to their original positions or all the untouched group members jump
to the positions dictated by the moved fader is now determined by which is released first: the
-
button or the
Fader
.
- Button First
Release the
-
button while holding a
Fader
and all the
grouped faders
will now jump to reassert the group
relationship but according to the fader level you are holding.
Fader First
Release the
Fader
and now release the
-
button and all the faders jump back to the positions they were in
before you hit the minus key.
