Preferences
The "PREFERENCES" screen enables you to set the global positioning device (GPS)
heading to either true or magnetic, enable or disable the warnings pop‑up, and adjust the
rate of speed (low or high) the GPS refreshes. Menu path: "Main" > "Settings" >
"Preferences". Press the check button to open the "PREFERENCES" screen.

1. Upon entering the "PREFERENCES" screen the "GPS HEADING" field will be
highlighted in blue.
2. Press the left or right arrow on the arrow trackpad to select between "TRUE" or
"MAGNETIC".
3. Press the down arrow on the arrow trackpad to proceed to the "POP‑UP WARNINGS"
field.
4. Press the left or right arrow on the arrow trackpad to select "YES" or "NO". If you choose
"YES", the "ACTIVE ALARMS" pop‑up window will appear if an alarm is activated.
5. Press the down arrow on the arrow trackpad to proceed to "GPS SPD REFRESH" field.
6. Press the left or right arrow on the arrow trackpad to select between "LOW" or "HIGH".
This setting relates to the refresh rate when using a controller area network (CAN)
based GPS.
7. Once you have finished selecting your preference settings, press the check button to
save the session.
IMPORTANT: VesselView may restart in order to establish communications changes with
the GPS.
