9. Repeat steps ii through viii for each tank.
10. Once all tanks have been calibrated (identified as blue text), end the calibration process
by selecting the
X
button.
NOTE: Upon completing any change/customization to VesselView a blue pop‑up message
will appear as a reminder to save your session. Refer to
Section 1 - Saving Settings
. To
save time, it is recommended that all session changes be saved before holding
X
button
while keying ALL engines off.
Tab Calibration
THEORY
To access the "TAB CALIBRATION" screen, press "Main" > "Calibrate" > "Tabs". Press
the check button to open the calibration screen. This tab calibration procedure utilizes the
same tab calibration screens used in the setup wizard.
NOTE: Tab calibration does not need to be performed if VesselView was configured using
the setup wizard. The "Tabs" menu option located in the "Settings 2" menu enables
adjustment to the existing configuration and offers a quick review of the current settings.
The tab position sensor changes voltage (current actual %) as the tab is raised or lowered.
Changing the actual % value calibrates the tab level indicator to the tab position sensor.
To compensate for sensitivity of the tab position sensor, select the positions (100 = Down,
50 = Level, and 0 = Up) and adjust the actual % value to match the current actual % for
that known tab position.
NOTE: The "TABS" screen shows up to two tabs for a starboard and port setup or just a
center tab for a single tab setup. The screens shown in the procedure are for a two tab
configuration.
