Configuration
With the configuration the combining of the devices and modules at the hardware in-
stallation can be simulated with MotionCenter.
The control configuration is based on the device descriptions. These describe the ba-
sic configuration specifying which parameterization options are available. The control
configuration allows the connection of I/O modules as well as fieldbus modules. Addi-
tional elements are available depending on the installed device descriptions.
The available I/O channels are indicated in the MotionCenter control configuration
and can be utilized in the application.
Information
Additional information as well as the exact parameter description of individ-
ual modules can be found in the online help of MotionCenter.
9.1
Data exchange between control and
visualization
IEC system variables that have been added to a symbol file can be used by a visual-
ization to display process values and allow operators to modify application variables.
MotionCenter makes the so-called symbol file available for the exchange of system
variables. The symbol file contains the IEC variables of the MotionCenter ViEditor.
For detailed information about configuration or data exchange, please see the re-
spective online help (MotionCenter).
9.2
Device configuration via static operating
device
In the device configuration the following basic configurations of the MotionOne can
be done if a stationary operating panel is connected to the control:
•
Trigger a status report and a crash report and store it on an USB stick
•
Configuration of the brightness of the display of the connected operating panel.
•
Configuration of the time until start of the screen saver of the connected operat-
ing panel.
•
Displaying licence information
•
Network settings
•
Trigger restart of the control
•
Displaying software versions of the operating device
The device configuration can only be opened during start-up of the control and con-
nected panels. After some time the message

appears for 2 seconds. In this case the screen has to be touched to open the
device configuration.
