Creating a new visualization project
After you configure the visualization data, you can start creating the visualization
project and drawing the masks for the visualization. The editor can be started by
pressing the button "
Open project in
ViEditor". Confirm whether you want to create a
new visualization project with "Yes". The editing tool ViEditor is started and the wiz-
ard for creating a new visualization project appears:

All relevant configurations for the visualization projects have already been set by de-
fault, so that you can close this assistant immediately by clicking on "Finish".
Information
If this is the first time you have started ViEditor, a welcome screen will ap-
pear here, which you can close with the "Start" button at the right upper
edge.
Now the user interface of ViEditor is displayed with the newly created visualization
project:

Edit mask
The creation of a new visualization project automatically also creates an empty mask
with the name "InitMask". The screen editor for the InitMask is displayed and mask
widgets can be pulled from the pallet on the right window edge into the mask (gray
area in the center).
For the example that is created in this tutorial, the widget "NumField" - a field to dis-
play and enter numerical values - must be pulled into the mask:
