3.6.1 Resetting the settings
Resetting the device enables you to return your device to a predefined initial state. This
may be necessary if you have made incorrect configuration settings or the device is to be
reprogrammed. To begin with, activatre the configuration mode (see
System password,
PIN1 and PIN2
on page 52) and proceed as follows:
Accessing the configuration
The reset function is protected by the device's PIN1. In the factory setting, PIN1 is set to
. In order to reset the device settings, you need to start with the following procedure:
Lift the receiver of your telephone. You will hear the internal dial
tone.

You will hear the positive acknowledge tone.
Enter the PIN1 (factory setting
).
You hear the positive acknowledge tone. You can now dial the keys.
Note
After you have entered a dialling code, wait until you hear the positive acknowledge
tone before entering the next dialling code.
