number was not transmitted for the SMS, the SMS is not displayed in the system tele-
phone. If all the storage space for SMSs is used up in the system telephone, new SMSs
cannot be received or displayed.

Note

The length of an SMS depends on the terminal. An SMS is entered using the system
telephone keypad.

Setting summer/winter time

• Switching of the internal clock from summer time to winter time (and back) is automatic.

This is independent of the exchange time or the ntp server time.

• Summer time starts on the last Sunday in March by switching from 2 a.m. to 3 a.m. The

calendar-related switches that are scheduled for the missing hour are then carried out.

• Winter time starts on the last Sunday in October by switching from 3 a.m. to 2 a.m. The

calendar-related switches that are scheduled for the extra hour are then carried out.
Switches already initiated are carried out again when the set time is reached.

• If an external call is made during the switching time, the device compares the time trans-

ferred from the exchange with its own time. During the switching period, the device pre-
vents switching between the times.

• The time of the system telephones connected to the device is automatically changed by

the device centrally.

System telephony

System telephony makes it easier to make calls and operate the telephone. The user does
not have to remember complicated functions and processes or find the user's guide and
then look up the function. In the configuration of the system telephone, operations can be
assigned to function keys. The function keys are either labelled by hand or labels can be
printed out using a template provided. This template can be filled out on the PC and then
printed out. The user therefore simply needs to press the labelled button and the function is
executed. The system telephone is recognised via the internal connection and the configur-
ation can be read and changed. Configuration is carried out via the device from the PC.

Priority for emergency calls

Note

This performance feature is only possible for the ISDN connection.
