To make further connections easier, you can purchase a connection kit with the re-
quired cables and adapters from your dealer.

The system is now prepared for configuration using the Funkwerk Configuration Inter-
face.

2.4 Configuration

In this chapter, you will learn how to prepare the configuration, which data you have to col-
lect first, how to perform configuration for a conventional ADSL connection, make adjust-
ments to the PC configurations in the network if necessary and test the connection when
the configuration has been completed.

2.4.1 Preparations

To prepare for configuration, you need to:

• have the data for the Internet connection to hand and also gather the data needed for

connecting required WLAN clients.

• Check whether the PC from which you want to perform the configuration meets the ne-

cessary requirements.

2.4.1.1 Gathering data

You can gather the main data for configuration with the Funkwerk Configuration Inter-
face quickly, because you do not need any information that requires in-depth knowledge of
networks.

In addition, you can have the system assign a valid IP configuration to all PCs, so time-
consuming configuration of your LAN is not necessary. If necessary, you can use the
sample values.

Before you start the configuration, you should gather the data for the following purposes:

• Internet access

• Wireless LAN

The following table shows examples of possible values for the necessary access data. You
can enter your personal data in the "Your values" column, so that you can refer to these
values later when needed.
