Tones
The following tones describe signalling for analogue telephones.
Internal dialling tone (425 Hz)
Internal dialling tone. After lifting the re-
ceiver, if 0 for external line is set up, you
hear this tone. It indicates that you can
dial. After 40 seconds, it switches to the
engaged tone. Replace the receiver and
lift it again. You then hear the internal dial-
ling tone again.
Engaged tone. Negative acknowledge
tone (425Hz)
Engaged tone. If you hear this tone, the
external or internal subscriber you dialled
cannot be contacted.
Positive acknowledge tone (mixed tone
425Hz and 320 Hz)
This tone indicates that your entry was ac-
cepted.
Ringing tone (425 Hz)
This tone indicates that the telephone of
the subscriber (external or internal) you
are calling is ringing.
Special dialling tone (425 Hz and 316 Hz
mixed)
This tone indicates that e.g. call forwarding
is activated on your telephone.
Permanent dialling tone (425 Hz)
A permanent dialling tone, which you hear
if you have occupied an external connec-
tion.
Note: The device generates its own ex-
change dial tone, even without an ISDN or
DSL connection.
