3.5.3.7 Keypad function
Using the keypad function with an analogue and ISDN telephone (without automatic
keypad function).
You can use the keypad function to to use ISDN functions by entering a key sequence from
your ISDN or analogue telephone. Ask your network operator about this and obtain the rel-
evant keys (e.g. switching of locks in the exchange or call forwarding in the exchange). The
keypad function must be activated for a subscriber in the configuration. The keypad func-
tions can only be used from terminal devices that have been assigned a telephone number
in the Internal Connections configuration and for which service features have been
ordered from the exchange.
Using the keypad function on an ISDN connection
Automatic Outside Line is turned on (analogue and ISDN telephones)
Lift the receiver of your telephone. You will hear the internal dial
tone.
Dial the exchange number,
in the example.
Press the * button or # button.
Select the relevant character for controlling the function.
Note
If the Keypad function of your ISDN telephone cannot be switched off in the tele-
phone, the Keypad right should not be granted for this extension in the configuration.
3.5.3.8 Multifunctional unit
If an analogue connection of the device is set up as a "multifunctional port" for combina-
tion devices, all calls are received, regardless of the service. When connecting to the ex-
change using indices (speed dial etc.) the service indication

can be sent independently of the Internal Extension configuration of the analog
connection. If

You cannot reach a group-3 fax machine that is operated with a service ID on a remote
