route selection. When a number is dialled, the device recognises it and dials the entered
number via the defined fixed network or DSL connection. The telephone numbers entered
in automatic route selection are monitored by the blacklist, so blocked telephone numbers
or parts of a telephone number cannot be dialled in this way.
Note
Emergency services numbers cannot be entered in the automatic route selection or
blacklist.
Gateway functions
External connections can be set up via FXO, DSL or ISDN from all connected internal ter-
minals. If you switch from analogue and ISDN connections to the DSL connection or from
DSL to analogue and ISDN connections, the maximum number of connections is limited to
four.
DSL telephony
You can telephone over the internet using all internally connected telephones. A maximum
of four external connections are possible via DSL. The number of connections depends on
various parameters:
• The availability of the device's free channels.
• The available bandwidth of the DSL connection.
• The configured, available SIP providers.
ISDN telephony
When you initiate an external call via your device, it automatically transfers the telephone
number and service ID. Thus only a terminal with the same service ID is called (telephone
calls telephone, group 4 fax calls group 4 fax).
If a terminal connection of the device for combi-units is set up, external calls are signalled
on the terminal unit with the service indications

and

In this case, when starting an external call, the service indication

will be sent.
Access to the external connection
For each of the device's internal subscribers, individual authorisation (exchange access
rights) can be set up in the configuration of outgoing (external) connections. Six rights are
possible:
