Note
Both subscribers make the call over the ISDN connection. Note that both B-channels
are used for this performance feature. During an external call, your device cannot be
reached by other external subscribers over the ISDN connection.
Talk to two subscribers alternately (broker)
• On analogue telephones, you can switch between two subscribers. You can selectively
end either of these two calls.
• SIP telephones have to use their own features for brokering. Subscribers with SIP tele-
phones do not hear music from the device when they are on hold.
You are making a call and want to speak to another subscriber
without the first subscriber hearing this conversation.
Press the R key. You will hear the internal dial tone.
If you wish to speak with an external subscriber, first dial
for the
exchange. Dial the subscriber. You hear the ringing tone. The per-
son is called. The person lifts the receiver.
You have a conversation. The first call is held.
Press the R key and dial
to go back to the first call; the second call
will be put on hold. By pressing the R key and dialling
, you can
switch back and forth between the two callers.

Note
If you broker between an internal and external subscriber and replace the receiver,
your call is terminated and the two subscribers are connected to each other.
