To view differences between the baseline file and a configuration file for a device:

In the main Configuration Manager window, select the device for which you want to compare a
baseline and a configuration file.

Select the one configuration file you want to compare to the baseline.

Select

Baseline

Diff

from the Configuration menu or from the right-click pop-up menu. If you

have not selected a configuration file to compare, the

Baseline > Diff

command is not available.

EPICenter invokes the Difference viewer in a separate window, with the two files you selected
displayed.

Figure 75

shows an example of a differences comparison using WinMerge in Windows XP.
