Model Identification
The vehicle identification plate is fastened to the upper frame to the right of the passenger’s
knee. Photo Below The model and serial numbers are stamped into it. Model identification
starts with “V”, followed by four numbers and a letter, either G (for gas), D (for diesel),
or DT (for turbo diesel). For example V2000G. The month and year that the vehicle was
manufactured can be established from the serial number: the first two digits indicate the
year and,the second two digits indicate the month and the last 3 digits indicates the number
prodiuced.(ie. Serial No. 0001004 was manufactured in January 2000 and is the 4th one
produced.
Identification and Location of Controls
