4. Remove the lower plastic plug of the pump just below the oil filter and discard. Teflon

tape the thread of the barbed hose fitting and ensure that the O-ring is installed before

threading to the pump.

Sub-Assembling The New Pump

1. Remove the top plug of the hydrostatic pump and discard the spring and plunger.

TR-9

3. Remove the 2 plastic plugs in the front of the pump and discard. Install 2 drain plugs.

Tighten securely.

2. Remove the side plug of the hydrostatic pump and remove the 2

spring and plunger.

Reinstall these into the top of the pump and cap with the original plug. Replug the

side.

If a new pump is to be installed to the vehicle it may be necessary to modify the

set up before it may be used for the CENTAUR..
