Brake System Centaur Service Manual

Loosen

the bolt that secures the brake pedal assembly at the steering box lower adjuster

assembly,

Photo BR-50,

and push the brake pedal sideways to the right and free of

the welded rod stop. Rotate the brake pedal up.

4. Remove the 2 locknuts from the bolts that fasten the master cylinder into position,

and slide the bolts out. Be aware of the flat washer spacers installed at both ends of

the bolts to the

inside

of the throttle/brake supports, and the throttle linkage bracket

on the rear most bolt. Be sure each is installed when remounting the master cylinder.

5. Remove the 2 bolts and lock washers securing the right hand side throttle support

bracket.

6. Rotate the throttle support bracket up, at the same time slipping the master cylinder

out

7. Pull off the rubber boot from the push rod and discard.
