19. Unplug the green starter relay wire.

20. Pull back the red rubber insulating boot and disconnect the 6 gauge power wire at the

21. Disconnect the purple/white stripe wire at the oil pressure switch.

22. Remove the tie-wraps from the group of wiring conduit, and isolate the one that has
the purple oil pressure switch wire, and the green wire that runs to the fuel shut off
switch on the carburetor bowl.

This wiring is for ignition timing, as well as the pickup for the tachometer on the gas
model. On the diesel, this wiring reads the impulse for the tachometer rpm’s only. Blue
connects to the orange/black stripe of the engine harness, and green connects to brown of
the harness.
18. Disconnect the trigger coil wiring at the plug.

14. Remove the hydrostatic drive belt.

filter and move it out of the way.
