Removing the Mud Flaps
1. Remove all of the fasteners along the underside of the body and pull the flaps free of
the vehicle.

The mud flaps are sandwiched between the front and rear
upper frames and the lower body of the vehicle. The inside edge of the mud flap is
flush to the upper frame assemblies inside edge. Photo VB-45

Installing the Mud Flaps
1. During production assembly of the CENTAUR, a vinyl strip is placed between the
upper frame assemblies and the lower body. It is probably a good idea to replace this
strip along the length of the body where the mud flap was removed. Chances are it
was ruined when the flap was pulled out. This provides a seal to prevent water from
seeping to the inside of the vehicle.
2. A new mud flap will require mounting holes drilled through them. Try to drill them in
order that they may be aligned with the original holes in the upper frame assemblies.
3. Attach the mud flaps and secure all fasteners.
Removing the Splash Panels
1. To remove the right or left side splash panels you will need to remove (1) fastener
securing the panel at the front of the ROP and (1) at the rear as well as (2) Common
Sense fasteners that have been riveted at approximately the same location. Photo VB-

2. There are fasteners along the inside of the panel that will need to be removed to free
the panel from the vehicle. Photo VB-48
