9-66 Upgrading Your Server

Installing Additional Battery for RAID Controller

Take the following steps to install an additional battery for RAID Controller.

See the section "Preparing for Installation and Removal" described earlier to prepare.

Pull out the server from the rack.

Remove the logic cover.

Lift the handle straight up and remove the riser card from the server.

If you feel difficult to remove the riser card, lift the riser card while pushing the server chassis

IMPORTANT:

Carefully remove the riser card not so as to contact with any other components.

Disconnect cables from the RAID Controller.

Remove screws from the RAID Controller, then remove the RAID Controller.
