Replacing the column-outlet tubing in a CM-30S installed in a UPC

system

4. If you are not installing a column on the column-outlet tubing that you

are replacing, route the tubing through a column clip on the column

plate.

Rationale:

Doing so prevents loose tubing from interfering with the

operation of the column-compartment drawer and outer CM-30S door.

5. If you are installing a column on the column-outlet tubing that you are

replacing, do as follows:

a. Ensure the cap nut is loose on the column fitting, insert the

column-outlet tubing into the column, and then tighten the column

fitting.
