3. Connect the external valve’s serial cable to a female-to-female serial
cable coupler adapter, and then connect the coupler adapter to the
connector labeled “1” on the 3-gang RS-232 serial-adaptor cable.
Note:
If you are connecting more than one external valve, connect the
second external valve’s serial-adaptor cable to a female-to-female serial
cable coupler adapter, and then connect the coupler adapter to the
connector labeled “2” on the 3-gang, external valve’s serial adapter cable.
Connect a third external valve’s serial-adaptor cable to a
female-to-female serial cable coupler adapter, and then connect the
coupler adapter to the connector labeled “3” on the 3-gang, external
valve’s serial adapter cable.
4. Connect the male end of each external valve’s power cord to a suitable
wall outlet.
5. Power-on the CM-30S.
6. In the instrument console, from the system tree, select Column
Manager.
7. In the column manager information window, click Control > Reset CM,
to reset the CM-30S.
8. In the column manager information window, click Configure >
Operating Mode.
9. In the Operating Mode Configuration dialog box, under “Select valve
configuration”, check External 1, External 2, or External 3.
Note:
Check as many valves as are installed.
10. For each external valve, set the associated positions to 6.
11. Click OK, and then reboot the CM-30S when prompted.
