3 Maintaining the 30-cm single-zone column manager

6. If a column is installed on the column-outlet tubing that you are

replacing, do as follows:

a. Loosen the cap nut from the column fitting, taking care not to

remove the cap nut.

b. Unscrew the column fitting from the column, and then disconnect

the column-outlet tubing from the column.
