CM-30S components:
Component
Description
Drawer handle
Disengages the column compartment’s door latch, to
allow access to the column plate.
Drain fitting (to
waste)
Routes waste from the leak management system flow
through this connector to the waste container.
Drip tray
Manages fluid leaks.
iButtons (eCord
receptacles)
Receive the column’s eCord fobs, which store column
manufacturing and usage data.
Note:
When the CM-30S is configured as part of an APC
system, iButtons are optional.
Inlet valve
In UPC

systems, allows for programmable switching
access to any column installed in the CM-30S as well as
to the column bypass mode and waste.
Note:
When configured as part of an APC system, the
CM-30S does not have an inlet valve.
Leak sensor
When enabled, continuously monitors the CM-30S for
leaks and stops the system flow when its optical sensor
detects approximately 1.5 mL of accumulated, leaked
liquid in its surrounding reservoir.
Outlet valve
In UPC

systems, allows for programmable switching
access to any column installed in the CM-30S as well as
to the column bypass mode and waste.
Note:
When configured as part of an APC system, the
CM-30S does not have an outlet valve.
Valve drip tray
Captures any leakage from the valve connections and
routes it into the leak management system.
