9.6.1
Establishing a Connection via the UCMM Port
The DeviceNet
TM
fieldbus controller supports dynamic connection setup from the
“Unconnected Message Manager Port” (UCMM port).
The fieldbus controller can be set up with 5 explicit and 5 dynamic incoming and
outgoing connections at the same time, i.e., 5 subscribers can be connected at the
same time.
9.6.2
Offline Connection Set
Using the “Offline Connection Set”, the fieldbus node can be addressed across the
network if switched off due to a duplicate DeviceNet
TM
MAD ID and it is in the
“Communication Fault” state.
After addressing the fieldbus node, the DeviceNet
TM
MAC ID of the fieldbus
controller can be changed from the software.
9.6.3
DeviceNet Shutdown
“DeviceNet Shutdown” allows the fieldbus node to log out of a controller when
the node is switched off due to internal error. This function can be used in
DeviceNet
TM
networks specifically where very high safety requirements apply,
e.g., in chemical and semiconductor manufacturing.
9.6.4
Dynamic Assembly
An “Assembly Object” is used to combine data (e.g., input/output data) into
blocks to send them in a single message.
The static assembly can be used to access fixed pre-programmed assembly
instances in the fieldbus controller. In contrast, the dynamic assembly makes it
possible to set up assembly instances in which process data can be compiled from
various applications as required.
