Chapter 3 - Operation
To specify signal routed to test port, press INPUT. Input menu is displayed.
Input choices are: DISABL (disable the test input port), POSN (route the test
signal to the position loop) and RATE (route test signal to the rate loop).
To specify output of test port, press OUT1 or OUT2 from the test port menu.
Output menu is displayed. Output choices are: POSERR (position error
signal), PF IN (signal into position compensation filter), PF OUT (output
from position compensation filter), RTF IN (signal to rate compensation
filter), and AUTERR (autotrack processing output signal). POSERR and
AUTERR will be the same signal when the axis is in Autotrack Mode.
3.3.15.1.4 Step Response Test
These softkeys
perform a step response test on the selected axis.
a) With top level menu displayed, press MENUS softkey for the desired
axis.
b) Press SETUP. Setup menu is displayed.
c) Press SERVO. Servo menu is displayed.
d) Press STPRSP. Step response menu is displayed.
e) Press STPSZE. Enter step size in degrees.
f) Press TIMDUR. Enter length of time in seconds (1 to 10) to record step
response after initial step is applied.
g) Press RUNSTP to begin step response test. All axes are placed in Standby
mode, and the step response test is performed on the selected axis. The
LCD displays the test results.
h) To save step response data and analysis results, press STORE. Store
overwrites any previously saved test results.
i)
To switch display between current test results and previously stored test
results, press TOGGLE
.
