Chapter 4 - Principles of Operation

The assembly has 16 low-voltage contact closure sensing lines. The input
voltage sources are opto-coupled and have internal pull-ups. The pull-up
voltage can be +5V, +15V, or external. The inputs can sense contact closure
and the presence of voltage up to the pull-up voltage value on the input pin.

The Synchro/Resolver Assembly is equipped with 16 open collector
Darlington drivers. The drive voltage for relays may be delivered from
outside the controller in the range of 5 to 50V dc. The driver can sink up to
500 mA per pin. The controller can optionally be configured to source 5 or 15-
volt relay drive voltage with 250 mA of total current capability.

The assembly has a 32 transistor-to-transistor logic (TTL) line auxiliary
parallel digital I/O port. The port can be configured as input or output in
sections of 16 bits. The strobe lines (BAclocks) for input direction are
provided on the connector to enhance usability of the port.
