Chapter 3 - Operation
3.3.14.2 Scan Mode
Refer to Figure 3.5. Use this mode to support signal acquisition. Scan mode
causes the axis to scan at a constant amplitude around the commanded axis
position. In Autotrack systems, scanning terminates when the target is
acquired. If the target is lost, scanning may be resumed depending on the
backup mode selected. Scan can be selected along with another (backup)
mode. Refer to paragraph 3.3.15.2 and Figure 3.7 for information on scan
parameters.
a) With top level menu displayed, press MENUS softkey for the desired
axis.
b) Press MODE. Secondary modes menu is displayed.
c) Press SCAN. Scan mode is activated.
3.3.14.3 Slave Mode
Refer to Figure 3.5. Use this mode to slave an axis to an external single-speed
resolver or synchro position command.
a) With top level menu displayed, press MENUS.
b) Press MODE. Secondary mode menu is displayed.
c) Press SLAVE. Slave mode is activated.
3.3.14.4 Stow Mode
Refer to Figure 3.5. Entering Stow mode commands the axis to a preset
position. Stow position is normally 90 degrees for the elevation axis and 0
degrees for the azimuth axis.
a) With top-level menu displayed, press MENUS softkey for the desired
axis.
b) Press MODE. Secondary modes menu is displayed.
c) Press STOW. Stow mode is activated and the axis moves to its preset
stow position.
NOTE
In systems with elevation remote stow pins, selecting Stow
mode will only drive the elevation axis to the stow position.
This mode does not control the remote stow pins.
